A New Direction - 2025
Exciting new works that explore freely designed abstract shapes that swirl and overlap to create movement and depth. Creating the original prints is an intuitive and exciting process using original stencils, found textures, and multiple layers of paint to create each new design. After several long studio sessions prints are sorted and the best are then partnered to develop into a completed work. The process is dynamic, a bit frenzied, and then quite intentional as each work comes together.
Celebration - Vibrant colors create lively contrast which gives this piece a festive quality that is celebratory and bright. Joyful and alluring this piece brings light and happiness to your favorite space. Inspired by the hanging wire sculptures of artist Ruth Asawa. 16 x 20 Abstract collage with handprinted papers
Elegance - Graceful forms cut from dark violet and blue handprinted paper float atop a layered background of celadon green and grey. In this piece I tried to capture some of the exquisite elegance of artist Ruth Asawa's hanging wire sculptures. SOLD
Slow Dance - One step, two step. Feel the easy movement of teal and rose abstract forms floating gently on a weathered blue background. Sway and listen to the music. 1 1 x 14 monotype with collage
Late July - A delicious palette of pink, yellow, blue, and green is reminiscent of watermelon and lemonade on a bright summer day. Soft energy arises as your eye follows the flowing movement of blue and green - perhaps a cooling rain - that extends beyond the piece itself. Abstract collage 16 x 20
Above it All - Abstract landscape conveys a sense of spaciousness and gentle motion through its aerial perspective, organic shapes, and harmonious palette of celadon green, deep violet, and burnt orange - 18 x 12 Abstract collage with handprinted papers. SOLD
Talking Jive - This piece juxtaposes sharp angles with floating cloud shapes to create a work with a strong sense of contrast and color. It illustrates the dissonance between dishonest actions to impress and the fear of vulnerability. The playful interaction of the two elements is rhythmic, another component of talking jive. Acrylic monoprint mounted on cradle board 11 x 14 SOLD
Inner Voice - Vibrant colors framed in gold represent change, movement, and flow. Crimson pink abstract forms float on a background of Prussian blue and violet layered with Cerulean blue forms. Their bold interaction remind us of the dynamic energy of inner conscience and its ability to shape our world. 14 x 18 mounted monotype
When I Dream I dream in Color - Vibrant blue-green forms shimmer and float on a background of orange, rose red, and ultraviolet. Hot and cool colors create dynamic tension below the surface which feels similar to active dreaming. As a vivid dreamer I often awake suddenly and feel an intense sensation that I must shake to bring myself out of my dream state. 14 x 18 Mounted Monotype
Button Down - There is a retro spirit to this piece which is delightful. The uneven symmetry and bold red circles evoke a sense of playfulness that disrupts the usual associations one has with being buttoned down. 10 x 10 Original Art Collage - SOLD
Finding Connection - Connection, community, tribe, or whatever you call the sense of belonging with others is a primal need that drives human relationships. These simple interlocking shapes are reminiscent of the journey we take to find that spark of familiar recognition when we find each other. 11 x 14 Original Art Panel SOLD
Downstream - Sections of golden ochre paper with curved lines of burnt sienna evoke the jazz-like movement of fish darting through teals and violet currents. Symmetrically arranged blocks guide your eye up and down over the piece. This dynamic energy creates visual interest for a small space. 12 x 16 Original Art Collage
Dancing Currents - The movement and rhythm of this work could be occurring in space or under the sea. It is an unknown territory for most of us yet we are moved by the shifting currents. There is mystery and a primal pull. 14 x 18 Original Art Collage
Wind and Rain - The rain cleans the air and makes it sweet after the wind has whipped up particles of dirt, plants, and debris. Here in the desert, the creosote releases its distinct aroma into the freshest desert air. 12 x 16 Original Art Collage
Three Spheres of Life - Three spheres hold significant meaning in mathematics, spirituality, and psychology - representing concepts like body, mind, spirit or harmony, wisdom, and understanding. This artwork encourages your reflection on three concepts that hold deep meaning for you. 12 x 12 Original Art Collage
